Design Philosophy

I approach web design with the same care and dedication to detail that goes into the design of a beautiful home. Websites, like houses, require careful design and construction – a process which is too often ignored. My approach is to carefully blueprint the site and lay a strong foundation and build from there, ensuring clean, polished end results that are relevant, persuasive, and trustworthy.

Websites, and applications have grown progressively complex because of the exponential rate of advancing technologies. In the recent past, user experiences were typically flat and static. These new advancements, however have made the user experience highly rich and interactive.

User Experience Design (UX) is about how a person feels and reacts when using a system. The system could be a website, application, software, mobile interface, or any point of interaction between a human and a device or object. In other words it is Human Computer Interaction. UX is at the center of the design process, involving multiple disciplines including but not limited to: Usability, Information architecture, User Interface Design and Development, storytelling, interaction design and others.

The success of a user experience is hinged on the users perception. Does the experience… “Give me value?” “Is it pleasant to use?” “Do I like looking at it?” “Can I accomplish my task easily in an enjoyable way?” In UX we as designers strive to make the answers to the questions “YES”.
